Allegedly Intoxicated Driver Blamed for Delivery Truck Crash in Lakewood

An accident in Lakewood, involving a delivery truck, is being attributed to an allegedly inebriated driver.

Lakewood-Busti Police reported a vehicular accident on Big Tree Road on Friday. The incident involved Wendie Cressley, who allegedly crashed into the rear of a UPS truck parked by the roadside.

Upon an extensive investigation, the 43-year-old Jamestown woman was suspected of DUI (Driving Under the Influence).

Cressley agreed to a breath test, which showed a blood alcohol level of .17 percent, over twice the New York State legal limit of .08 percent.

As a result, she now faces multiple criminal charges including DWI, tailgating, cellphone use while driving, and possessing improper license plates.
