Authorities in Pasco County, Florida, have announced the arrest of Oscar Adrian Solis in connection with the horrifying death and dismemberment of an Uber Eats driver during a delivery.

Sheriff Chris Nocco described the incident as “gruesome” and revealed that the victim had been communicating with his wife via text messages on the night of the delivery. According to investigators, the victim had intended to return home after completing the food delivery, but he never arrived and ceased responding to his wife’s messages.

The remains of the victim were tragically discovered in trash bags near a residence on Moog Road, which was the location of his final delivery. Surveillance video provided by Solis’ roommate showed the victim delivering the order, but the footage abruptly ended after that point.

Authorities have determined that there was no known connection between the victim and Solis, suggesting that the attack was random. The 30-year-old suspect was taken into custody by deputies on Friday and later formally arrested.

Solis now faces charges of homicide while engaged in a robbery, as well as a felony parole violation related to charges in the state of Indiana.

The community is left in shock and mourning following this horrific incident. Law enforcement officials are working diligently to gather further evidence and investigate the motive behind this senseless act of violence. Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of the Uber Eats driver who tragically lost their life while serving their community.
