Woman Loses Life in Collision with Amazon Delivery Van in Orange County

A woman tragically lost her life in a collision involving an Amazon delivery van on Wednesday evening in Anaheim, as reported by the police.

The incident took place shortly before 8 p.m. at the crossroads of South Dale Avenue and Orange Avenue, stated Sgt. Shane Carringer of the Anaheim Police Department. The accident involved an Amazon delivery van and a Toyota Prius.

The two females in the Toyota were rushed to a hospital where the passenger, a woman in her 60s, succumbed to her injuries, according to Carringer. The driver, a woman in her 20s, sustained moderate injuries.

The Amazon driver, a male in his 30s, reported minor pain but chose not to seek hospital treatment.

Traffic investigators are currently working to identify the cause of the crash. Carringer mentioned that it appears the driver of the Prius may have disregarded a red light. As of now, neither high speed nor substance use seem to be contributing factors to the accident, but the final assessment will be made by the investigators.
